On May 28, 15.233 Javea residents have been called to vote in the municipal elections.
The town has prepared a total of 25 polling stations throughout the area, one more than in previous years, although there have also been some changes in the schools locations.
Those who have registered in the electoral census are receiving their census card by ordinary mail, informing them of their assigned electoral college, but if you haven’t received it, you can review it through the INE website.
Where do I have to vote?
If for some reason you have not received the census card, either due to a change of address in recent months or for another reason, you can check which will be your polling station by filling out a simple form on the website of the National Institute of Statistics. In it you must fill in the boxes indicating where you live and the initial of the first surname. The search engine will quickly tell you, among the 25 polling stations, which one is your assigned one. Of course, once the search has started, you must click on the district or section to find out the address of your polling station.
Which polling stations have changed locations?
This 2023 there have been some changes in the location of the electoral colleges, as the National Institute of Statistics does not recommend voting more than 900 people in the same school, for this reason some modifications have been made.
A new polling station has been added and the locations of two polling stations have been changed. It is, on the one hand, the citizens who voted in the municipal ballot box. These polling stations have been moved to the Casal Foguerer, located in the Plaza de la Constitución.
On the other hand, some people who voted in the IES La Mar (former IES nº1) and those who voted in the Trenc d’Alba will now vote in the Multipurpose Hall of the Portal del Clot. This change has occurred because due to the works of the school centre, access to people with functional diversity is impeded – and the IES La Mar welcomed a large part of the residents of the scattered areas and the new limit set by the INE.
