Travel for free on the Alicante Tram for a day

The Minister of Environment has announced that on September 22nd the Generalitat will offer free transport in Metrovalencia, TRAM d’Alacant, TRAM de Castelló and MetroBus to celebrate World Car-Free Day in the Valencian Community.

Also, the 50% reduction in the price of multi-trip passes and tickets will remain in force until 31 January 2025 and free travel for people under 31 years of age will continue to be valid until 31 December.

The minister stressed that the Generalitat’s commitment to sustainable mobility in Alicante “is total”.

An example of this is the future intermodal station, whose works he has announced will begin in October. “We want the central station to be a national example of how to articulate transport and mobility in a series of powerful nodes connected to state networks, capable of spreading throughout the territory the advantages of major axes such as the airport, the Mediterranean Corridor or the Madrid-Alicante axis.”
