“Third Dose” – Scammer alert

by Loraine Gostling

News via Javea.com

Scammers will take advantage of any current topic to attack their victims.

This new fraud method refers to the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Apparently, (this has been confirmed say Javea.com) they call by phone, supposedly from the Ministry of Health to administer the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

The operator that makes a call confirming that it has all the victim’s data (email, address, telephone number) and requests the code that they have supposedly sent by SMS. This code, if given to the operator, hacks the mobile, so from there they get all the data.

Remember that you do not need to provide data over the phone and that in if you need the vaccine, it is the Health department who will inform you, without any codes involved.
