The current system of ITV tests has been in the hands of private companies in the Valencian region for the past 25 years…But the contracts end at the end of this year.

Valencian government has now informed these private companies that their contracts will not be renewed.

There have been complaints for some time about high costs of a test in our region compared to others in Spain and so the Valencian government is to revert the service to public ownership, that, they say will lead to cheaper ITV tests for all in our region.

Changes are to take place from the end of this year when contracts with the private companies finish.
