The Legend that was Frank Abrams

On Monday 3rd October, local people, especially those in the music world, were devastated to hear of the death of Frank Abrams, who, for those who did not know him, was a legendary saxophone player, both in Spain and back in the UK.

We were shocked to see the news announced by the Bike Bar in Moraira, where Frank was both a performer and customer for several years, as despite knowing that he had been very ill of late, there were so many very many people rooting for him to make a recovery, that we thought that their voices alone would pull him through.

So very sadly, it was not be be and Frank was taken to that big music studio in the sky last Monday.

Since then we have read endless trubutes to Frank on social media, confirming that he was , indeed, loved and admired by thousands of people.

Immedately, the lovely owners of the Amercan Bike Bar in Moraira arranged to unite friends on Wednesday afternoon to surround his family with love and support.

And on Tuesday 11th October, OPE Moraira invite people to go along and celebrate the life of Francis Abrams from 3pm.

There are so very many photos of Frank on Social Media, but we have chosen just a few of our favourites and we join all those other thousands of people who now mourn the loss of a legend.
