The Javea Tourist Train: Reminder of the route, stops and schedules

by Loraine Gostling

The route covers the three main areas of the town: the historic centre, the Arenal beach and the port, allowing passengers to travel around Javea and enjoy the scenery at the same time.

There are six stops scheduled along the 8-kilometre route. The round trip has a total duration of 1 hour (30 minutes for the outward journey). With the same ticket, passengers can get on and off along the route, thus taking the opportunity to visit each area.

Stops

The tourist train makes different stops along its route. The meeting points are as follows:-

  • Historical Centre ( Old Town): The train can be boarded on Avenida Alicante (in front of the Trinquet restaurant car park) and on Placeta del Convent.
  • Port: the stop is on Avenida Jaume I, next to the Grava beach promenade.
  • Arenal Beach: at this point there are two stops, one at each end of the Paseo del Tenista David Ferrer. One is at the Fontana canal and the other at the south car park of the beach.

Schedule

The train operates every day of the week from 11:00 to 13:00 hours and from 17:00 to 20:40 hours. The start of this service is from Avenida Jaume I, in the port, next to the promenade of the Grava beach.

  • The price for a round trip is 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for children. The tourist train usually serves the summer months (June to September) and during the Christmas and Easter holidays.
