During Easter week, Javea attracts a large number of visitors and tourists, making the streets fill of life and activities for all ages. One of the most popoluar activities is the Fira d’Artesania that is held in the historic centre.
The fair, which will take place from April 7th to 10th, gives the opportunity to learn about the work of artisans and for visitors to purchase unique and exclusive pieces.
A total of 65 stalls will congregate between the Placeta del Convent, Calle Mayor and Plaça de Baix, where all kinds of offerings will be displayed, from ceramics, wood and leather to soaps and gastronomic products”.
In addition to being able to buy handicrafts, visitors can enjoy various activities and workshops, as well as performances by bands and groups, which makes the fair even more festive.
Complementing the Crafts Fair, will be the I Fire Department of Proximity Agricultural Products, which offers local products such as honey and jams, plus two workshops will be held: one for candles with beeswax and another for fruit juices. These will be on Saturday, April 8th, from 10:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m. in the Plaza de la Iglesia.
On Easter Sunday the traditional Associations Fair will be held in the morning, also in the Plaza de la Iglesia. This year the traditional chocolate is back in the Municipal Market after the Via Crucis.
The inauguration of the Fair will be on Friday, April 7th at 12:00 pm and afterwards, the Colla Xirimitab’s will perform a show in the Plaza.
