The Valencian Community celebrates the European Day of Natural Parks on May 24th, highlighting the richness and diversity of its 22 natural parks.
These parks encompass mountains, coastlines, rivers and marshes and offer a unique opportunity to connect with nature and promote preservation.
Natural jewels are found just a few kilometers from our homes waiting to be discovered. Inland mountain ranges, coastlines, rivers, marshes, salt marshes and even islands make up the wide range of places that are found in the natural parks of the region. They are spaces of true reserves of biodiversity, where all types of mammals, amphibians, reptiles and fish live, where migratory birds such as flamingos regain strength before resuming their journey.
An example of this are the hiking routes that can be done in the 1,772 kilometers covered, or visits to the 35 observatories available at different points.
Now is the perfect time to visit them and discover these unique treasures and be aware of both the beauty and the importance of nature.
