Temperatures plummet to -4º in the Valencian Community

And the thermometer may fall even further as a Yellow alert for coastal winds with gusts of up to 80 kilometres per hour is forecast.

As reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) , the lowest minimum has been registered in Villena (Alicante), where the mercury dropped to minus 4.7 ºC.

A storm named ‘Bella’ by meteorologists, has begun to deepen in the North Atlantic and from today (Saturday) it will cause temperatures to drop further in the southern third of the peninsula, the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands.

Tomorrow and during the first days of next week, the effects of ‘Bella’ will be felt locally, with rainfall, intense winds and poor sea conditions but the Marina Alta area is not expecting such an intense cold snap as other areas in the region.
