Javea Council will set the fee for summer parking during the next plenary session.

The proposal suggests a single payment of 9 euros per day, which will allow parking between 9.00 and 19.00 hours. The “orange zone” system will be active during the same days as the security surveillance and access control services through a barrier system – from June to September 30 – and will make available a total of 190 parking spaces: 130 in Granadellla and 60 in Portixol.

his type of system is already applied in other tourist destinations in the country, such as in the areas with the highest landscape value in Formentera.

The parking fee will only apply to cars and motorcycles/bicycles will continue to have free access. In addition, the City Council is also preparing a public transport system to the coves with buses, an alternative option to the private vehicle and that includes a 25% discount on the price of the ticket for the residents of the municipality.
