The program of events prepared by the Casa de Andalucía

This Saturday the 1st , at 10:30 a.m. , the Rociera mass will be celebrated in San Bartolomé and, then, a wine of honour will be offered at the headquarters.

At night, at 9:30 p.m. , the presentation of the new Queen of the House of Andalusia and Rociera of the Year 2023 will take place. This will be in Montaner Park.

Finally, on Sunday 2 , at 10:30 a.m., the traditional pilgrimage will begin from the manor house located on C/Arquitecto Urteaga to Montaner park itself.

There will then be a fellowship meal.

Xàbia recovers one of its most joyful and endearing festivities. The Casa de Andalucía returns to celebrate the revered Virgen del Rocío with an intense weekend of events full of flavour. In 2015 it was the last time that the festivity was carried out, which the large community of Andalusians in the municipality decided to start in 1995.

Eight years later, the Blanca Paloma xabiera once again filled the streets with revelry with its transfer to the church of San Bartolomé where it will remain during these days until its pilgrimage next Sunday. In its transfer, the image was supported by the Junta de Moros i Cristians, the Comissió de Festes Mare de Déu de Loreto, the Fogueres de Sant Joan, the Brotherhood of Jesús Nazareno, the municipal corporation and, of course, the Casa de Andalusia. An act of festive brotherhood that served to offer to the Virgin inside the temple.
