Játiva castle, in Valencia, one of the oldest, largest and best preserved castles in Spain and Europe, is now a setting for the new season of Andor, one of the products of the ‘Star Wars’ franchise.
The castle of Játiva is one of the most important fortifications in the Spanish Levant, perhaps less known than those of Andalusia or Castilla ( or Denia!), where there are so many to choose from, but so different that it deserves a visit, and clearly special as it was chosen by the ‘Star Wars’ franchise locations team to shoot part of the second season of one of its series. They were there filming in early April, so that the stones of the past became the scene of future interplanetary battles.
According to local media, the recordings will be destined for the new season of ‘Andor’ , a prequel to the movie ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’.
