The lifeless bodies of Rubén and Izan, the 3 and 5 year old children who disappeared in Torrent, having been swept away by the flood when they were with their father, have been found, according to municipal sources reported today (Wednesday). They disappeared in the Curra housing estate, where the flood entered the family home, dragging them away with the current.
The family will go to court to identify the bodies, which have apparently been found in two different towns, located a few kilometres from Torrent, according to the same sources.
Many people, including neighbours, rescue team members, paramedics, divers and volunteers, had been searching for the children for days. They had been missing for 15 days after the force of the water swept them away. Their father managed to save himself by clinging to a tree, where he remained for four hours.
Their uncle has just confirmed that their bodies have been located and identified. “This **!! nightmare of 15 days of madness is over,” he said, when he made public through his social networks about the unfortunate discovery of Izan and Rubén.
