Ramblars site is now to be temporarily closed
Environmentalists requested this measure 5 days ago due to new mountains of remains that could aggravate the fire. Now, Javea Council intends remove it.
The council has stated that it has made this decision on the advice of the firefighters to activate a shock plan that will extinguish the flames. There will be police controls so that green waste is not disposed of in unauthorised places.

Javea Council has said today (Wednesday( that it will temporarily close Ramblars area to facilitate the task of extinguishing the fire that has been active since November 21st 2021.Â
The consistory has announced the measure in a statement in which it emphasises that it follows the recommendations of the Provincial Firefighters Consortium to start a new phase in the response to this emergency.Â
For this, the municipal officials are coordinating a “shock device” with the fire station that will also make available the necessary heavy machinery.
Likewise, the immediate removal of all the greenery that continues to be stockpiled in Ramblas will be contracted as an emergency to avoid outbreaks and gain space for extinction work.Â
The city council “does this to solve the situation that has been causing neighborhood inconvenience for weeks, for which it repeats its apologies to those affected.”
