Programme for Jesus Nazareno Fiestas – Javea

Continuing through the holiday weekend until Wednesday May 3rd.

Eight days of intense activity that begin in the Convent square (from Wednesday the 26th to Saturday the 29th of April) and will end with the solemn procession of the Ascent of the image of Jesús Nazareno to the hermitage of Calvario during the afternoon of May 3rd.

There will be no shortage of classics, such as Children’s Day (Monday, May 1st), with lunch and games for the little ones in the Plaza de la Constitución

The Giant Paella – the parade will visit the Cruces de Mayo (also Monday, May 1 at 20:00)

The offering of flowers to Jesús Nazareno (Tuesday, May 2nd) and the evenings with the farce The soldier of Palma represented by the group Tot Rist and the theatrical representation of Don Mendo’s Revenge offered by Garum Theatre. For these performances, a tent will be installed in the Plaza de la Constitución where the following weekend (May 5th and 6th) the Xàbia Folk will be held.

The programming also includes other festivities such as the mobile disco on Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th, both organised by the 2023 captaincy Filà Almoriscos and the Commission of Fogueres in the Plaza Constitución.

As for the more religious part, a triduum will be held in honor of Jesús Nazareno from Sunday, April 30th to Tuesday, May 2nd, and on the 3rd there will be a solemn sung Eucharist at noon (followed by a mascletà) and the Ascent procession, then finishing touch, with a spectacular fireworks display.
