SATURDAY 16TH JULY
20:30 h – Parade through the streets of Duanes, to pick up the representatives of the filaes who will participate in the presentation. On arrival at Avda. Jaime I, the rocket will be fired and the lights will be officially switched on.
21:00 h – Wine of honour offered by the filaa Capitana BALLESTERS in C/Doctor Fleming.
21.30 h – Presentation of the Moors and Christians 2022 festivities in Paseo Jaime I.
Finally a performance by the Orquesta La Viva.
SUNDAY 17TH JULY
20:30 h – XVIII Concert of Festera Music in C/Sevilla, offered by the Agrupació
Centre Artistic Musical del Xàbia (separate programme).
MONDAY 18TH JULY
21:00 h – Visit to the Arenal Beachalong the David Ferrer promenade. At the end of the event, refreshments will be offered to all the members of the participating Filaes by Restaurant La Fontana.
To end the day there will be a firework display.
TUESDAY 19TH JULY
20:00 Visit to the old town, walking along the following streets:
Príncipe de Asturias, Placeta del Convent, Virgen de Asturias, Placeta del Convent, Virgen de la Merced, El Foguerer and ending in Carrer del Ravalet.(formerly San Jaime) where the flower offering will be made in the niche of the patron saint Sant Jaume and then there will be fireworks.
WEDNESDAY 20TH JULY
20:00 h – Massive offering of flowers to Sant Jaume – this will start at the Arcada Pio X and will go along Calles Cristo del Mar, Andrés Lambert, Avenida Jaime I, Plaza Presidente Adolfo Suarez and Caleta and ending at the Parish Church.
Food will be also be donated by the Filaes and the Junta de Festes to CÁRITAS.
At the end of the offering there will be a colourful fireworks display.
22:30 h – Paella competition in C/ Sevilla between all the Filaes. This will be enlivened by a Xaranga. There will be prizes for the three best paellas.
Afterwards, there will be a Brotherhood Dinner.
THURSDAY 21ST JULY
21:00 h – Gathering on the Playa de la Grava beach of the Christians awaiting the landing of the Moors
21:30 h – Disembarkation of the Moors. Re-enactment of the arrival of the Muslim troops with the firing of arquebuses. Performed by LEGEND. In collaboration with the Associació de Barques Tradicionals.
22:00 h – Moorish Embassy and surrender of the castle in Paseo Jaime I.
24:00 h – Tour around the different kábilas and barracks with Xaranga, accompanied by the members of the Filaes and the general public, starting the tour at the barracks of the Filá Capitana BALLESTERS.
FRIDAY 22ND JULY
17:00 h – XXVII “Trofeo PEPE PRATS” of Valencian pilota between the different filaes which will be will be played in C/Virgen de Loreto.
21:00 h – Battle with harquebucería between the Bando CRISTIANO and the Bando MORO on the Playa de la Grava Beach.
21:30 h – Embassy and Reconquest of the castle by the Christians in Paseo Jaime I.
LEGEND will perform.
22:30 h – Disco-mobile on the dance floor next to C/Manuel Bordes Valls
24:00 h – Performance of “AIBAX BUP” in C/Doctor Fleming.
SATURDAY 23RD JULY
11:30 h – Parade in charge of the Capitana BALLESTERS, the festeros charges and the Junta de Festes de Moros i Cristians, visiting the different kábilas and barracks.
19:30 h – Entrance of Music Bands along the whole of Avda. Jaime I.
20:30 h – Gala Parade with the participation of all the filaes, Moorish and Christian standard-bearers and Captains of the Filá BALLESTERS, accompanied by all the music bands.
23:30 h – Macro disco-mobile with the performance of X-PAM SHOW in Paseo Pintor Joaquín Sorolla, until 04:00 h.
SUNDAY 24TH JULY
10:00 h – Children’s “Aquajocs” in Paseo Jaime I.
10:30 h – Distribution of ice creams and milkshakes offered by the Moorish and Christian Standard Bearers in Paseo Jaime I.
Jaime I promenade.
19:00 h – Entrance of Music Bands. Then, in the Paseo Jaime I, Trobá de Bandes de Música- all of them playing the Pasodoble XÀBIA conducted by the Agrupació Centre Artistic Musical del Xàbia.
20:00 h – Gala parade of all the Filaes.
At the end of the parade, a night-time mascletá will be fired from the Grava beach.
MONDAY 25 JULY: SANT JAUME’S FESTIVITY
18:00 h – Celebration of Solemn Mass in honour of Sant Jaume and in memory of our deceased fiesta members.
At the end of the Mass, parade with the image of our Patron Saint from the Parish Church of Our Lady of Loreto to the Chapel of the Hermanos Cholbi Residence-Asylum. THE DISCOMOVIL AND THE CHARANGAS WILL FINISH AT 03:30 H.
