New multi-recreation area to be built in Javea Park

A PUBLIC INFORMATION NOTICE.

by Loraine Gostling

This week, the Javea Town Council’s Board approved contracting specifications for the works to improve the Jávea Park sports and leisure area, located on Avenida París, which will be completely renovated and will have three separate spaces.

The works have been planned in such a way that the area will have greater pedestrian access, with three entrances (at present there is only one).

The reconfiguration of the space will enable the creation of an area for children’s playgrounds and primary school games with multicoloured fencing; a sports court with the appropriate measures for hockey and indoor football; and a half-court for basketball.

The project includes two areas that will be roofed with sails where chess tables and ping-pong tables will be placed, and there will also be another similar area that will be multi-purpose.

In addition, the intervention will allow for the installation of a network of lighting points in the Jávea Park area, as well as drinking water fountains, and street furniture

The area will contain a network of lighting points in the Jávea Park area, as well as drinking water fountains and street furniture such as bicycle racks, litter bins and benches, so that the residents of the neighbourhood can turn this area into a meeting point and a fun space for all ages.

The budget for the works is 463,317.64 euros and the maximum execution period is 2.5 months.
