THE JÚCAR HYDROGRAPHIC CONFEDERATION HAS DECREED THE ALARM DUE TO DROUGHT IN THE MARINA ALTA
We make this communication because a drought alert has been declared in our region and we want to invite all neighboUrs to make responsible use of water and avoid or reduce its consumption as much as possible to avoid problems and/or restrictions in the very near future and we don’t know how long it can last. Many small gestures together can mean great water savings and therefore we invite people to think about the use we make of water in all our daily actions, and not waste any drop of water.
The indicators used to determine the water situation are based on the accumulated rainfall in recent months, compared to previous years, or the water levels in the wells or the flow in the rivers. All of this makes it possible to define the current state regarding drought, which varies between the stages of normality, pre-alert, alert and emergency.
With all these actions, investments of close to eight hundred thousand euros will be carried out in the 2022/2024 triennium, in order to improve the infrastructures that had urgent needs for renewal and improvement, after years of private management that did not have the same investment intensity.
However, and despite the fact that all these efforts position us in a better situation, given the more than foreseeable water problems in summer, if it does not rain, we will not be able to guarantee the water supply.
These problems, if they occur, will be perfectly informed and communicated to all neighbors, so that they are aware of the situation. And we take advantage of this communication to ask all neighbors to make responsible and rational use of water, with the care that this valuable resource deserves, in these times of drought and in any other situation.
