Whether because of its beaches, the climate or the landscapes, Javea is among the 10 favorite destinations chosen by Spanish tourists, according to a survey carried out commissioned by the accommodation platform, Airbnb, to 1,000 adults in Spain between the 15th and the February 17, 2021.
Specifically, Javea is in fourth place in the ranking of the most sought-after destinations outside the city by national tourists. Along with Javea, other towns in the region have also been nominated among the Top 10, such as Dénia and Calpe.
Travelling is one of the activities that the population has missed the most during the pandemic. According to this study, almost half of those surveyed, 46% of Spanish adults, claimed to prefer travelling to going out for a drink.
In fact, the study indicates that 37% of the participants said that, since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, their priorities when travelling have changed and now they give more importance to safety during travel. Followed by 28% who answered that they now tend to choose destinations that they consider safer and 23% who prefer much closer destinations.
