In the early hours of this morning, some residents of the region felt the effects of an earthquake in the Murcian town of Cabo de Palos, which had a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale.
The earthquake occurred at 1.04 am about seven km. out to sea. It lasted about nine seconds and its effects have been noticed in Dénia, Javea, Calpe, Teulada-Moraira and some inland towns, such as Orba, with a slight trembling of the furniture and even some cracking.
It was one of the four low intensity earthquakes that occurred in a row off the coast of Cabo de Palos between 0.50 and 3.11 hours.”
