The photos that were added to this post were mis-leading in the extreme and in this respect and we at Javea Connect wish clarify the situation regarding the accident.
On Friday, July 12, 2024, a serious incident occurred at a construction site located on Calle Juan Cordero in Jávea, where the structure of a house under construction collapsed. The second-floor structure gave way while concrete was being poured over the framework, causing a worker to fall from a height of two stories, resulting in injuries. This event has naturally raised concerns about safety on construction sites in the region.
The project in question is managed by LEMON DEVELOPMENT SL, a company registered in Spain with Romanian origins, hired by a private homeowner for the construction of their residence. This specific project is entirely independent and is not connected to any other real estate developments currently underway within the same residential area and on the same street where it is located as some could have understood misleadingly through some pictures taken from a wrong angle given way to confusing regarding builders and constructors in the same area.
It is important to clarify that the construction site in question is not part of the broader development projects currently in progress in the region. The urbanization, which hosts several other projects, adheres to strict safety and construction standards on all officially approved sites.
This clarification aims to inform and prevent any confusion regarding the involvement of other developers or projects within the urbanization. This incident underscores the importance not only of maintaining high safety standards but also of strictly adhering to construction regulations on all construction sites. We remain attentive to future developments to ensure safety and compliance with regulations on all construction sites.
