Xabia del Dia informs today that a total of 90 tenders have been submitted for the public contest of seasonal services offered by Javea council including the chiringuito beach bars, sunbeds, parasols and beach services such as kayaks and scooters.
The recruitment board has met in a marathon day to open the bidding envelopes and verify that the documentation submitted by the applicants is all correct. The result is not yet available. The next step will be to look at the economic proposals.
It is difficult to define, if not impossible, what offers have been produced in each of the lots, for which the City Council expects a revenue of a minimum of 265,000 euros per year.
So the starting price to qualify for a chiringuito is 15,000 euros (18,000 euros to include hammocks), the umbrellas and hammocks of La Grava go for 2,500 euros, paddle surfing, sailing and canoeing in the Montañar 3,000 euros, the rental of scooters, boards and canoes in the Arenal 15,000 euros, hammocks and umbrellas in the Arenal for 175,000 euros (!!), hammocks and umbrellas in Portitxol for 3,000 euros and those on Granadella for 20,000 euros.
