Car Free Day in Javea

The Town Council has organised a special day on 22 September to celebrate Car Free Day.

This event, which will take place from 10:00 to 14:00 hours in Avenida Jaume I, seeks to promote sustainable mobility and environmental awareness among residents and visitors.

The day will feature a series of activities aimed at all ages, with the collaboration of several various companies, local sports clubs.

Highlights of the activities include:

Exhibition of electric bicycles and cars. Attendees will be able to get up close and personal with the latest innovations in sustainable mobility and discover alternative transport options.

Road safety education: From 10:00 to 13:00. Workshops and talks will be held on road safety and good practices, conducted by the Javea Municipal Police. The aim is to encourage safer coexistence on public roads.

Skating demonstration: Also from 10:00 to 13:00 hours.The Geovanny Sanchez Skating Club will be giving skating demonstrations and exhibitions, allowing participants to see experienced skaters in action and learn new techniques.

Bike and skate tours: There will be guided bike and skate tours for attendees to enjoy the event in an active and healthy way, in collaboration with the Jávea Sports Council and the Jávea Cycling Club.

Free trip on the tourist train: To add a special touch to the day, the town’s tourist train, will be offering free travel throughout the event, providing a fun and accessible way to explore the town.

World Car Free Day aims to promote environmental awareness contributing to the care of people’s health and the environment.
