The Meridia group will remodel Camping Jávea to integrate it into its network of ‘Wecamp’ establishments in Spain and Portugal.
This is how the investor Meridia announced in a statement, the purchase of Camping Jávea, the historic camping site located next to Camí de la Fontana, in Javea.
We are pleased to share that today we have acquired a camp located in Jávea, a coastal town known for its extraordinary views and natural beauty.”
Among its business divisions, Meridia has a “glamping division”, and that is precisely the purpose it intends to achieve.
The term “glamping” comes from the mixing of glamour and camping. That is to say, it is a glamorous campsite, a service provided with greater comforts than a traditional campsite.
Camping Jávea will be part of the investors’ “Wecamp” brand. The one in Javea will be is their eleventh glamping site.
Camping Jávea occupies an area of 4.8 hectares and has 12 accommodations and 200 pitches. According to Meridia, its acquisition represents the investor’s entry “into one of the most valued areas of the Community of Valencia and represents the eleventh acquisition to establish a sustainable glamping platform with wecamp.” To do this, Avanza will carry out a “repositioning remodel to elevate the site and introduce the Wecamp brand.”
