A different kind of cocktail for Easter. The addition of black pepper is real interesting!!!
The recipe, featured in Maggie Hoffman’s book The One-Bottle Cocktail, combines unsweetened yogurt with strawberry, lemon, honey, gin and black pepper. The Greek yogurt gives the cocktail a tangy flavor and subtly creamy texture.
To make 2 cocktails
- 4 ripe strawberries, halved
- 30 ml. fresh lemon juice
- 20 ml. honey
60 ml. gin
2 heaped tsp. plain Greek yogurt
Tools: shaker, *****muddler, strainer.
Crushed Ice
Garnish: freshly ground black pepper and a strawberry slice
Combine the strawberries, lemon juice and honey in a shaker and muddle until well broken up. Add the gin and yogurt and fill the shaker with ice. Shake until chilled, about 15 seconds. Double-strain into glass filled with crushed ice ( or leave the strawberries crushed but don’t try drinking with a straw 😉 Garnish and glug …… Enjoy
