The Local Police and Guardia Civil have arrested two people involved in several burglaries in homes in the Arenal area.

At around 05.30 hours on the 26th of August 2024, the Local Police were alerted that a resident of the area had caught a woman trying to steal from inside her home. When she tried to flee, she was detained until the arrival of a patrol of the Local Police Citizen Security Unit. Meanwhile, other witnesses are known to have seen a man running away who was arrested a few minutes later by another patrol of this Local Police Unit.
These individuals had stolen effects (jewellery, money, mobile phones, documents and credit cards, glasses) from at least four homes nearby. The officers arrested the perpetrators, who are 28 and 29 years of age, for alleged crimes of robbery with force.
Thanks to the cooperation of the public and the rapid response of the officers and coordination of the units, the perpetrators were arrested and five burglaries were solved between 01.00 and 05.30 hours.
