Javea Council opens the tender process to award the chiringuitos and seasonal services on the beaches for the next four summers
Announced on 19 April by Xabia Ajuntament.
“The Town Council of Xà bia has stated the deadline to tender for beach services for the 2018-2021 seasons. Five chiringuitos distributed at the First Montañar (one of them associated with the rental of hammocks) and the hammocks and umbrellas for La Grava, Portitxol and Granadella and El Arenal (in this last one is now a unique tender for the whole beach). Also two nautical concessions are opened in the Montañar and Arenal.”
Those interested in competing have 15 calendar days from April 19th to present their economic and technical proposals in the Citizen Service Office (for the attention of the Services Department), located in the offices of Avenida Amanecer, 2 (from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.).
The starting price to opt for a beach bar is 15,000 euros (18,000 euros which includes hammocks), the beach umbrellas and hammocks of La Grava is 2,500 euros), paddle surfing, sailing and canoeing in the Montañar is 3,000 euros , the rental of scooters, boards and canoes in the Arenal is 15,000 euros, hammocks and umbrellas in the Arenal is 175,000 euros, hammocks and umbrellas in Portitxol is 3,000 euros and those of Granadella is 20,000 euros.
From the Department of Services they explain that the space occupied by the activities of hammocks and umbrellas has been modified in all the beaches to adapt it to the real occupation of the last years, and a unit of measurement and distribution has been established to homogenize the occupations and avoid inappropriate assemblies. The area of ​​hammocks and beach umbrellas of the Granadella beach has also been relocated to avoid the dragging of the furniture in the event of torrential rains, such as occurred in August of 2017 in the area.
Another of the most relevant changes made in this Plan affects the periods of operation of all services, which will be different for each type of activity, and is based on the experience and observation of its operation in previous seasons, as well as eliminating the faculty of the bidders to request seasonal extensions.
