The high tourist season comes to an end and with it access to the Moraig cove. Monday August 31 will be the last day of opening to the public, as from September the Provincial Coastal Service will resume the rehabilitation work to repair the damage caused by the storm Gloria and re-naturalize the beach environment.
“Thanks to the reservation App, but especially to the staff who have been controlling access and providing support service in the ‘tallat’ parking lot (municipal staff, private guards hired by the city council, beach assistants of the Generalitat, Police Local and Civil Protection), we have been able to cope with this situation without any incident and with total efficiency, ” said the Councilor for Tourism, Víctor Bisquert.
The fact that the cove has only one access has also helped, as well as the improvements that have been made to the parking area. Among them, the El Puig de la Llorença Tourist Information Point, the new signage with indications about the beach regulations and warnings about the Testos ravine, a mini roundabout to make the turn in the parking lot or security and ornamentation elements like poles and ropes.
