A report of a fire went up on the Fire and Weatherwatch group at around 8pm Saturday night, which subsequently led to the eviction on 50 people from their homes in the  Pinaret area of La Xara.
Planes and helicopters were seen and heard immediately and the rapid
response of the air and land emergency services resulted in the control of the fire by 10 pm.Â
