As reported by El Mundo in a recent news item, the alleged perpetrator of the “Garage murder” in Denia in September, is a man also accused of drug dealing, Daniel Parke, an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) expert who, under cover of his business as the owner of a network of gyms, operated as the head of one of the gangs, controls drug trafficking in the town.
The information obtained indicates that the initial intention of Parke and his accomplice (also arrested) was to steal five kilos of cocaine from a man sent to a garage, located in Patricio Ferrándiz. However, the operation went awry and one of them, Parke, allegedly shot the seller in the head. Both fled, but were arrested in the days following the murder.
The deceased, aged 53, had travelled to the town from Valencia to carry out the operation and worked for another individual in charge, who investigators place in Javea.
The alleged killer is an expert in martial arts and participated in different national championships, becoming champion in the 70 kg category in Spain (as can be seen on his Instagram profile). In addition, he boasted about a luxurious life on this social network, with videos in sports cars and wearing high-end watches that his sponsors gave to him.
Parke has a further 33 arrests recorded, mostly related to public disorder, attacks on authorities and drug trafficking.
