The 2024 edition of the Música a l’Estiu de Xàbia festival will be held over 4 evenings, from July 9th to 12th.
The programming of cultural festivals for the summer of the Department of Culture announces a new edition of Música a l’Estiu for the week of July 9th to 12th.
The concerts, that will fill the summer nights with music, will be held from 9:00 p.m. in the Church of Sant Bertomeu in Javea.
This 2024 edition of this musical festival has been divided into two parts in agreement with the team of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Xàbia.
The concerts raise the curtain on July 9th, with the Korean pianist Jeongin Kim, who, at only 26 years old, graduated with one of the best grades from the Higher School of Music of Seoul National University. In 2022 she won first prize at the Karlrobert Kreiten Klavierwettbewerb.
On July 10th, a duet with Joaquín Riquelme (viola) and José Enrique Bagaria (piano). Riquelme is a member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and Bagaria is a professor at the Liceu Conservatory of Barcelona.
On July 11th it will be the turn of the metal quintet Spanish Brass, a quintet made up of Carlos Benetó (trumpet), Juanjo Serna (trumpet), Manolo Pérez (horn), Indalecio Bonet (trombone) and Sergio Finca (tuba).
And on Friday, July 12th, the concert “Amb Denominació d’origen Xàbia” with Darío González (guitar) and Pepi Lloret (soprano) and a second part with the Gorgutes clarinet quartet formed by Miguel García, Claudia García, Pedro Roberto and Javier Bernabeu.
The Councilor for Culture, Mavi Pérez, has shown her satisfaction with the innovations that have been launched in this edition of the festival “by the team of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Xàbia.” And she has highlighted the poster that in this XXXVIII edition features “musicians from different specialties” and the closing concert that she wants to highlight “the great talent that local musicians have.”
