The Three Kings Parade is the most magical day of the year for the children of Jávea and the whole of Spain in general.
The Feast of the Epiphany or the Three Kings’ Day is a celebration of the adoration of the baby Jesus by the Three Wise Men, also known as the Magi or the Three Kings. Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar, who travelled to present three symbolic gifts, gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Every year the Three Kings of the Orient, Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar arrive by boat in Javea on 5th January.
THE PROGRAMME
Sunday, January 5, 2025
- 10: 30 – 13 30 hours. Jàvea Port: the children will wait for the Three Wise Men. With children’s activities and storytelling in the marquee on the promenade. In addition, there will be a raffle for 1.500 euros in prizes for purchases in Jàvea Port.
- 17: 00 hours. The Three Wise Men will arrive at the Port by boat.
- After disembarking, the procession will begin, going through the streets of Aduanas and ending on Avenida Jaume I, where the Kings will welcome all the attendees. Afterwards, the procession will continue along Calle Juan Carlos I, Avenida de Alicante, Ronda Norte, Príncipe de Asturias, to Plaza del Convento, where the Three Wise Men will address the children to share a few moments with the true protagonists of the day.
January 6th is also a National Holiday throughout Spain.
