According to La Marina Alta’s report last week, the price of housing ( not including new builds) in Spain has skyrocketed in the last year. One of the regions with the greatest registered increase was Valencia.
The quarterly report on sales prices from pisos.com points out that the price of housing in the country was 2.016 euros per m2 in March 2023, which represented a growth of 6,55% compared to the same month of the previous year. However, with regard to the Spanish municipalities, among those that registered the most drop in prices in the first quarter of this year was Javea.
But from the platform’s study, the growth in the average price per square metre in pre-owned homes in one town in the Marina Alta is striking. This is Benissa. During the month of March the cost was 3.494 euros, while in February it was 3.392 euros. The report reveals that the increase represents a growth of 9,29% during the first quarter of 2023 and 25,43% if compared to the prices of last year.
The same document also points to the municipality of Calpe. Despite registering a slight drop in the average price per square metre in second-hand homes between the same two months of 2023, in February they were 3.015 euros per m2 and in March 3.000 euros, in one year has experienced an increase of 15,30%.
