The President of the Valencian Generalitat, Ximo Puig, has announced that a 50% reduction in public transport prices will be applied as of February 1st, and will remain in force during the first half of 2023.
This was announced during the commissioning of the renewed section of line 9 of the TRAM that connects Gata de Gorgos and Dénia. On Monday, January 16, the section between Gata de Gorgos and Dénia of Line 9 of the Alicante TRAM (Benidorm-Dénia) will be put into service,
There will be free public transport for those under 30 years of age that will apply to the entire Metrovalencia network, TRAM d’Alacant, TRAM de Castelló and MetroBus.
Puig stated that thre will be “increasingly accessible” public transport to help people with the effects of inflation, and went on to say that, with the journey between Teulada and Denia will cost 40 cents.
During his speech, the president also said that the tender notice for the informative study of the new TRAM between Dénia and Gandia will be published in the coming weeks.
The schedules that appear here, and the only ones that are known to date, are for the substitute bus service that runs to Gata while the work on the road is completed. In addition, according to the TRAM, they are approximate. The duration of the complete journey from Dénia to Alicante by train is around 3 hours and 10 minutes.
