I happened to spot some whacky images last week, that were created by French artist Jean-Marc Cote, and a few others back in 1899, 1900, 1901, and 1910.
The point of them being.. Well, basically they had been asked to imagine what life would be like in the year 2000.
According to Collective-Evolution, these artworks were originally in the form of postcards or paper cards enclosed in cigarette and cigar boxes.
The images depict the world as it was imagined by some 100 or so years later. Some of these unique illustrations were not bad guesses really! Now we haven’t started to invent the whale bus….and I hope we never will but if nothing else it has been amusing finding some counterparts and comparing them to each other. Flick through the galleries to see the realities of their predictions…
