In the midst of a debate about the safety of these bull running events that feature in the annual local celebrations, the Bous a la Mar de Javea have recorded their second injury.
Yesterday afternoon a 25-year-old man was gored by a bull’s horn. In this case, it was not as serious as the previous injury on Wednesday and the boy was able to leave the arena on his own two feet to be treated by the medical team.
The wound was in the armpit and the young man was transferred, simply as a precaution, to Dénia Hospital. After undergoing a review he was able to go home.
The first took place on Wednesday, when a 38-year-old man also suffered a goring that caused more serious injuries, although he was released a few hours later by Dénia Hospital.
